Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, with reference to the Written Statement of 21 July 2021, HCWS228, on Housing Update, when his Department plans to launch the Government-backed professional indemnity insurance scheme for qualified professionals conducting external wall system assessments.

We are progressing work on the state-backed Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) scheme for qualified professionals conducting External Wall System (EWS1) Assessments, and will announce further details.
