Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what assessment he has made of potential merits of increasing funding for stands in trade shows; and for what reasons his Department did not support such a stand at the Eureka Park start-up zone at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2017.

Financial support and the trade shows selected for support are determined in consultation with relevant stakeholders, including Trade Challenge Partners, DIT approved delivery partners. The decision not to support a stand at the Eureka Park start-up zone was taken in agreement with the above stakeholders and UK small and medium-sized enterprises themselves.
