Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what guidance her Department has issued to schools on the provision of sanitary products for children from a low income background.

The Department has not issued any guidance on the provision of sanitary products in schools.

Schools have discretion over how they use their funding and if they wish to make these products available to disadvantaged pupils they are free to do so.
