Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, how many people in each tax band used the dividend allowance in each of the last three years.
This question was answered on 28th March 2017
The dividend allowance came into effect in April 2016. Dividend income is reported through self-assessment and HM Revenue and Customs will not receive self-assessment data for 2016-17 until January 2018. This data is therefore not currently available.
