Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, if he will make it his policy to bring forward proposals to reduce the age for eligibility to vote in elections to 16.

The Government stated in its manifesto a commitment to maintain the voting age at 18. The Government therefore has no plans to lower the voting age in elections.
