The Energy Bill Relief Scheme provides a discount on non-domestic energy bills for eligible customers, rather than providing a payment. The discount received is dependent on the type of contract a business was on when the contract was agreed, and the amount of energy consumed. This is calculated by each business’s energy supplier and applied automatically. It is therefore not possible to provide an average payment figure for high street businesses.
