We anticipate each strategic hub to take up to two years to be ready for occupation. The timescales will vary depending on whether the hub is an existing building requiring refurbishment or a new build to be fitted out.

We have announced eight government hubs that will be ready for occupation by 2020.

The strategic hubs will be rolled out in controlled phases, across the UK, to meet future departmental workforce predictions. Departments begin moving to 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, in phases, from September 2017 to September 2018.
