Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what the value was of (a) land, (b) property and (c) businesses that were purchased as part of HS2 phase (i) 2a and (ii) 2b in the period between 20 July 2023 and 4 October 2023.

Please see response to Answer UIN 860 for the committed expenditure during August and September 2023. It is not practicable to draw a distinction between how much of this spend is on acquisition versus compensation.
