Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what steps he plans to take to ensure access to justice regardless of ability to pay.
The Government's reform programme is intended to deliver a simpler justice system that is more accessible to the public. Changes in scope for Legal Aid protect funding for those who really need legal advice.
Our reforms also aim to support people in resolving their disputes by means of more informal and less costly remedies than going to court.
