We are using every diplomatic tool available to secure the immediate and permanent release of arbitrarily detained dual British nationals in Iran. We continue to raise Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe's case at the most senior levels in the Iranian Government. We requested access to the hearing on 14 March, as we have done for previous hearings and will do for any future hearings. Iran routinely denies us access to these because they do not recognise Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe as a dual British national and view her as solely Iranian.

The Foreign Secretary continues directly to press Foreign Minister Zarif for her release and the Prime Minister has raised this with President Rouhani, most recently on 10 March. Our Ambassador in Tehran consistently raises our detainees with the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, most recently on 15 March.
