Build to Rent can boost supply and drive-up standards while increasing choice for tenants. We have encouraged longer, family-friendly tenancies (of three or more years) to be offered in Build to Rent schemes and revised the National Planning Policy Framework and issued a new chapter of planning guidance to support the delivery of more Build to Rent homes, including affordable rental homes. Build to Rent homes are subject to our reforms of the wider Private Rented Sector, as laid out in our White Paper from June last year, which will fundamentally reform the sector and level up housing quality in this country.
