Influenza: Vaccination

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask Her Majesty's Government why those aged 50 to 64 will not be eligible for free flu vaccinations in the 2022/23 flu season.
This question was answered on 30th March 2022
Due to the success of the COVID-19 vaccination programme and the treatments now available to those individuals most at risk of infection, eligibility for other vaccination programmes, such as flu, will return to the pre-pandemic cohorts. We continue to keep the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation’s advice for the flu vaccination programme under review.
