The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland is committed to introducing legislation to address the legacy of Northern Ireland’s past as soon as possible and will provide further detail on those proposals in due course. We want information recovery and reconciliation to be at the heart of a revised legacy system that is fair and proportionate, helps families to find out what happened to their loved ones and is in line with our Article 2 obligations.
