Air Pollution: Mental Health

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the research by Environmental Health Perspectives, published on 18 December, which links air pollution with higher rates of mental health issues.

No assessment has been made of this research published by Environmental Health Perspectives.
Public Health England is currently supporting the Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollutants on reviewing the available evidence on the impact of air pollution on cognitive decline. A report is due to be published in spring 2020.
