My thanks to these wonderful people. Michele has worked for me for 27 years, Susan 14. Catherine and Alasdair less but all have given themselves selflessly to helping me and those I represent. No MP could want for a better team. Compassionate, hard working and professional https://t.co/mEQHn8WspL

Great privilege to spend my last evening as an MP sitting next to Ken Clarke. He entered Parliament in 1970 (with my late father) and has held nearly every great office of State. His last job was to oversee the election of the new Speaker https://t.co/2fP7zDyInl

This anti-semite has ‘JC4PM’ and Momentum and Labour member on his Twitter site. Are 26% of people really saying they can support a party that has this going on at its heart? https://t.co/vbMnr9XidY

Er, whose vote am I after? I’m just a voter. Do tell me who you support - it may help many to at least decide who NOT to support because actually most people are attracted to positivity and generosity of spirit https://t.co/DUjeTZMqON

Any visit to Hungerford Bookshop goes from a few minutes to many, a missed meeting/lunch/collecting children etc. An entrancing place, beautifully run and a deserving winner of #BestInBussinessAwards https://t.co/je8le9AwB0

It must be terrible to exist in a world where the glass is permanently half empty and where any attempt to do the right thing is greeted with sneering cynicism #Pity https://t.co/Qaf937nexw

Banning fracking is right decision. Our rules (which we wrote in Defra) were so strict we had effectively made commercial fracking impossible. Meant fr industry was cross with Gov AND anti frackers were cross that we hadn’t banned it = bad politics! Now have clarity
