All UK companies must provide a manned customer telephone helpline

We want all companies operating in the UK to be required to provide a monitored customer telephone number so that customers can get in touch and request help.

I don't think it's fair that, in some cases, you cannot contact companies you have purchased a product or service from to request help or discuss any issues. The Government should legislate so that companies have to provide adequate customer service.

Currently some businesses do not provide a manned telephone customer support service, making it impossible to talk to someone to resolve an issue, and online services can often be inadequate.
