Require new minimum wages be paid from 1 April irrespective of pay period

We want the Government to amend rules that allow old minimum wages to be paid after 1 April if the relevant pay period started before 1 April, so that the minimum wage has to be paid from 1 April, irrespective of when the pay period began.

Companies are able to pay staff for less than the minimum wage if the relevant pay period started before 1 April. This means that workers can lose out on significant pay increases. We believe that this unacceptable.
