Remove the right to withdraw from RE lessons in schools

Some students only stay in RE lessons when their own faith is being taught. I feel that this is against the spirit of inclusion and may cause division, resentment and ignorance.

I believe removing the right for parents to withdraw their child from RE lessons will ensure that students have a basic knowledge and understanding of all the faiths that our society, and the wider world, have.

If creating a diverse, tolerant and peaceful society is desired, surely we have the obligation to ensure that all children learn about all faiths.
