Order the BBC to adjust its schedule of major series premieres to UK prime time.

Why is the BBC spending our TV license on programming for the American viewing audience? Why are they premiering Doctor Who at midnight UK time/7 p.m. Eastern Time? It’s our money. We want to see the results of it before the US!

This petition was rejected on 5th Apr 2024 for not being a Government or Parliamentary matter

The Petition Committee commented:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for. Decisions about the BBC's broadcast schedules are a matter for the BBC, not the UK Government or Parliament. The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the Government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
