We are concerned that AI tools and advanced automation may be rapidly displacing human labour in multiple sectors. We believe that without Government intervention, we risk widespread job losses, wage depression, and social instability. We believe taxing AI usage can help fund retraining, while impact assessments can ensure responsible deployment. We believe that by doing this, the UK can preserve domestic jobs, protect vulnerable workers, and future proof our economy.
