MPs excluded from the estate cannot perform all duties, which we believe leaves constituents unrepresented. We think including this provision would ensure that those unable to attend in person and inactive for two months can be recalled. We believe this helps to maintain democratic accountability and trust, and helps protect constituents' rights to effective representation.
