Hold a referendum for the public to vote on assisted dying

Hold a referendum for the public to vote on assisted dying. I believe the public should have the right to vote on whether the assisted dying legislation, the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, should pass.

I believe this is not a decision that should be made by a small minority who believe they speak for the majority. I think the people themselves should have the right to decide on legislation that determines whether individuals can choose to live or die.

While the specifics of how such legislation would be implemented could be left to Parliament if the bill passes, I think the fundamental question of whether it should pass must be decided by the people.
