Exempt Student Laundry services from VAT

We urge the government to exempt student laundry services from VAT, which we think would make them more affordable and accessible. By removing this cost, we think students could better manage essential living expenses and focus on their education, hygiene and overall wellbeing.

They shouldn’t have to choose!

Students already face financial pressures from rising tuition fees, housing, and everyday living costs. Laundry is a basic necessity, not a luxury, it’s life and we think taxing this essential service unfairly adds to the burdens students have. We think removing VAT would help support student wellbeing, hygiene, and dignity. We think affordable laundry access contributes to healthier campus environments and allows students to focus on their studies rather than struggling to cover basic needs. Help us achieve this !!!
