Today David lammy announced an attack on a fundamental part of UK identity and justice announcing the right to trial by jury to be limited in all but the most extreme offences. This is a fundamental principle of British identity and uk justice.... Guilt decided by your peers.

Only 3% of cases go to a trial by jury so the reasoning behind jury trial removal is incoherent.... It will not clear court back logs.
