Issue guidance so carers continue care visits for disabled patients in hospital

We call on the Government to issue guidance ensuring that hospitals allow care workers to continue their care visits to disabled patients whilst they're in hospital.

We believe this will benefit both the care worker and care agency, as they will not lose work whilst the client is in hospital, and the client keeps their regular carer who knows their routine and individual needs. We believe this could also free up time for nurses on the ward and stop bed blocking and give continuity of care for the client.
