Increase self-employed mileage claim & tax allowance to cover holiday/illness

current mileage claim for self-employed individuals in UK is 45p/mile for over 15 years. Rise in costs of fuel, insurance, tax & vehicle maintenance is current economic reality. Also self-employed don’t benefit from holiday/sickness pay-an inherent disadvantage compared the privilege of employed

Statistics from the Office for National Statistics indicate more than 4 million (2023) self-employed individuals in the UK. These individuals contribute significantly to the economy.
We hope for HMRC and the UK Government to consider:
Increasing the mileage claim rate for self-employed individuals &
Implement an increase in the tax-free allowance specifically for the self-employed to help cover holiday/sickness pay.
By implementing these changes it would support the self-employed enormously.
