Seek to negotiate a freedom of movement agreement with the US Government

We urge the UK Government to seek to negotiate an agreement with the US Government that allows UK and US citizens to live, work, study and retire in both countries with minimal barriers. This could boost economic growth, innovation, trade & skills exchange, and strengthen the Special Relationship.

It could boost economic growth by enabling workers to move to where their skills are most needed. Enhanced labour mobility could also increase productivity, innovation, bilateral trade, and investment.

Young people could gain easier access to international experiences and education, fostering long-term collaboration in research and entrepreneurship.
We believe this is a bold, positive post-Brexit opportunity: it deepens our closest ally and expands opportunities for British citizens.
