Don't move the power base up north.

Andy burnham is inheriting a divided, broken country. His first concern? Move No 10 into his constituency so he doesnt have to commute. I think this is is an abhorrent waste of time and resources and a damningly self serving look for our brand new PM. Keep no 10 downing st.

Moving no 10 to Manchester will cause yet more needless delays in the operation of government. It will save a bit of burnham's commute time, yes. At the expense of literally every other MP who has to travel into the area. Why congest Manchester worse just to satisfy the whims of one new political hopeful? What has he done to earn it?
