(Estimated Final Signatures: 17,794 - 56 added in the past 24hrs)

We request a Public Inquiry into their state pension age changes for women, which we believe have left many in a state of financial and mental despair. We believe the Government has had little or no consideration of the circumstances, historic inequality, mental health and wellbeing 1950s women.

Allow people to stay in the UK if their employer’s sponsor license is withdrawn - 16,699 Signatures
(Estimated Final Signatures: 17,783 - 8 added in the past 24hrs)

Employer sponsor licenses have been withdrawn by the Home Office because of different issues which are of no fault of the immigrant themselves. These immigrants are then given 60 days to find a new sponsor or face deportation.

The Government responsed to this petition on 9th April 2024 (View Full Response)
Sponsored work visas allow people into the UK for a set period of time to do specific jobs for a sponsor. Linking visas to sponsors provides safeguards but migrants are free to apply on another basis.

Enact legislation to make 'psychologist' a protected title - 11,754 Signatures
(Estimated Final Signatures: 16,989 - 37 added in the past 24hrs)

Anyone can use the title of 'psychologist'. We believe this undermines public trust and contributes to harm. Nine types of 'psychologist' role are protected (i.e. clinical, health), regulated by HCPC and adhere to strict standards. We want any use of the title 'psychologist' to be protected.

The Government responsed to this petition on 7th May 2024 (View Full Response)
The Government has no plans to make the professional title “psychologist” a protected title. However, our regulatory reform programme, which is underway, will consider protected titles more broadly.

Fast track benefits as soon as someone is diagnosed as terminally ill - 13,750 Signatures
(Estimated Final Signatures: 15,757 - 552 added in the past 24hrs)

Being told you have a terminal illness is devastating news. Being told you're not eligible for fast track benefits because you're expected to live longer than the '12 months or less' timeframe feels inhumane. TERMINAL MEANS TERMINAL, even if you're likely to live longer than 12 months.

The Government responsed to this petition on 1st May 2024 (View Full Response)
The 12-month eligibility criteria improves access to benefits for those nearing the end of life and aligns with the NHS definition. All eligible benefit claims are paid as fast as possible.

Negotiate UK-wide recognition of older person's bus passes - 15,473 Signatures
(Estimated Final Signatures: 15,643 - 4 added in the past 24hrs)

The Government responsed to this petition on 23rd April 2024 (View Full Response)
The concessionary travel scheme is restricted to England as it is primarily intended to support local bus travel. Therefore, there are no plans to introduce mutual recognition of the separate schemes.
