My Lords, the Hybrid Sitting of the House will now begin. I ask all Members to respect social distancing. If the capacity of the Chamber is exceeded, I will immediately adjourn the House.
I would like to say what a great honour it is for me to preside over the House today, for the first time as Lord Speaker. There are numerous challenges ahead, not least the task of emerging from the grip of the pandemic. As I have said before, I am committed to working in a collegial and collaborative manner, and I look forward to engaging with as many noble Lords as possible in the coming weeks and months to tackle those challenges together.
