Good to see the indefatigable @floodmary holding forth once again, we were discussing the need for catchment wide measures such as those just announced for the Severn outside the @diglishotel in our wellies just a few months ago - seems like longer https://t.co/x6aFhRWWpx

@williemillersm1 @rosscolquhoun We are aiming for a pro-independence majority government. When people trusted both votes SNP in 2011 it delivered the government that gave us a referendum. It is tried and tested, and I believe if we can convince folk to stick with it, will deliver the second referendum.

@clmbie @StuartSned I'd rather not risk an indy majority with a phalanx of pop up parties that nobody knows. They actually make the People's Front of Judea a model of solidarity and consensus.....

The list result, successfully challenged by Dave Thompson, ensured two SNP MSPs were elected at the expense of Labour. The list vote ensured Jack McConnell and Labour lost the 2007 election and an SNP win. Now it 'achieves nothing'. It's nonsense.

"We had to call for a recount of the figures because initially we were told that we didn't have any seats in the Highlands and Islands on the list which I knew had to be incorrect. "When the returning officer redid the calculations we ended up with two including myself."

Staggering & disturbing to congratulate him given the homophobic nature of his campaign which won by using fear & hatred against #LGBT people - shame on you https://t.co/5Z9ayR4In1

@clmbie @rosscolquhoun Read the BBC story. Dave Thompson's own election on the list denied Labour two seats. Had he not challenged the original results, Jack McConnell would have remained First Minister in 2007.

@williemillersm1 @rosscolquhoun Of course it's up to you - as it is to every voter. But the folly in the argument advanced in this case is laid bare by none other than the man advocating it. It'd be silly not to point that out.
