Just about to start this session on how Government doing so far. https://t.co/yclc5vASe1
Good to see the indefatigable @floodmary holding forth once again, we were discussing the need for catchment wide measures such as those just announced for the Severn outside the @diglishotel in our wellies just a few months ago - seems like longer https://t.co/x6aFhRWWpx
@williemillersm1 @rosscolquhoun We are aiming for a pro-independence majority government. When people trusted both votes SNP in 2011 it delivered the government that gave us a referendum. It is tried and tested, and I believe if we can convince folk to stick with it, will deliver the second referendum.
Delighted to see major new flood resilience investment in the Severn catchment area which should benefit #Worcester & will press for local schemes to bid for new £200m innovation fund https://t.co/U4Niio69VB
@clmbie @StuartSned I'd rather not risk an indy majority with a phalanx of pop up parties that nobody knows. They actually make the People's Front of Judea a model of solidarity and consensus.....
The list result, successfully challenged by Dave Thompson, ensured two SNP MSPs were elected at the expense of Labour. The list vote ensured Jack McConnell and Labour lost the 2007 election and an SNP win. Now it 'achieves nothing'. It's nonsense.

"We had to call for a recount of the figures because initially we were told that we didn't have any seats in the Highlands and Islands on the list which I knew had to be incorrect. "When the returning officer redid the calculations we ended up with two including myself."
Staggering & disturbing to congratulate him given the homophobic nature of his campaign which won by using fear & hatred against #LGBT people - shame on you https://t.co/5Z9ayR4In1
@clmbie @rosscolquhoun Read the BBC story. Dave Thompson's own election on the list denied Labour two seats. Had he not challenged the original results, Jack McConnell would have remained First Minister in 2007.
Government working with #Gloucester based EdF Energy & Rolls Royce on Made in UK manufacturing for nuclear reactors: part of ambition for net zero https://t.co/haZeqqO9TN
Yesterday I spoke of my experiences working at a local Halifax independent #pharmacy in my youth and their value. They’ve been under massive financial pressure, we must look after them. Congrats to @IoWBobSeely for securing the debate. https://t.co/JboHskhxY7 https://t.co/BAIACFQIRB
@williemillersm1 @rosscolquhoun Of course it's up to you - as it is to every voter. But the folly in the argument advanced in this case is laid bare by none other than the man advocating it. It'd be silly not to point that out.
I see the excellent Mary Beard has been interviewed by Fox Radio I’m sure it’s 37 listeners will have been enlightened! @wmarybeard
Our new vision to tackle flooding sets out how we will create a better prepared and protected nation Our record £5.2 billion investment will help to protect homes and businesses, and we’ll also improve the resilience of communities across the country 👉 https://t.co/RuTy22bmJw https://t.co/wisniZ06HI
loved this! https://t.co/HdmVF4B8Ru
Mmm wonder what the latest U.K. Government u turn might be? #Huawei https://t.co/fsbsiVDch0
Not sure what Defra’s policy on building on flood plains is after listening to Minister George Eustice @BBCr4today
@StuartSned The SNP is on 54% with near stratospheric satisfaction ratings. The Scottish public like what the SNP is doing. We also have independence at sustained majority support for the first time.
“I’m glad you’ve said there’s no doubt. I’ve often found there is doubt when there are Government announcements” @TomTugendhat says somewhat waspishly but entirely accurately on #bbcr4today (And he’s a Conservative MP.)
This - by @jameskirkup points to a quiet revolution. Companies like @Primark and @GreggsOfficial are recognising they have a social contract not just a commercial contract with employees and customers. https://t.co/HmDQZiZg4P
What do you wear in Parliament on Black Country Day? A Bilston Town shirt @BTFC2007. Happy Black Country Day. https://t.co/xXEA0Yip28
Meanwhile in Scotland. https://t.co/587R5PQ1iN
4 weeks ago, I asked @PritiPatel when the #Windrush review's recommendation on colonial education would be enacted. The Home Sec promised to outline a timeline for all recommendations before recess. With 9 days until recess, I kept the pressure on government to deliver justice. https://t.co/XxrHtPFmNo
