Horrified by the appalling murder of Sir David Amess this afternoon. He was a kind and considerate colleague, liked and respected across the House. He was also a deeply committed constituency MP who died doing what he loved - serving his constituents.
Deeply saddened to hear the news of James Brokenshire’s death. He was an excellent and diligent Minister, always courteous and patient, even in the most stressful situations. But most of all, he was a thoroughly decent man and a pleasure to work with. He will be greatly missed.
