My hon. Friend is absolutely right that it is the responsibility of the commissioners to look holistically at the provision of services. We want more services closer to home, using technology, care in people’s homes and so on, but she is quite right to highlight this issue. I know that she will continue campaigning on it, and I hope everyone has listened to her, so that people can come together to help her constituents.

T5. Bowel cancer rates are increasing among the under-50s. What targeted interventions are taking place to try to reduce such incidences?

The national cancer plan, published by the Health Department, is about prevention, treatment and support, as well as, crucially, research. That research can benefit us across the United Kingdom.
