The Government has spent £17.8 million on the Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre. Details of any future spend will be set out in the usual way.

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, if she will publish a list of official sources of advice for groups of residential leaseholders wanting to add solar heating to an existing or replacement roof.

Individual residences can find tailored and impartial information on how to improve the energy performance of their homes on gov.uk. This is part of the Government's three-tiered consumer advice and information offer, consisting of the 'find ways to save energy in your home' website, launched in July 2022, a new phoneline service launched March 2023 and the local in-person advice which will launch in due course.


The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is responsible for solar panels and heating.

The forecast cost, produced in line with Green Book guidance, was published in the NAO report of 5 July 2022. Costs are currently being reviewed in light of the delay due to the High Court judgement.

The report 'The impact of a change in the maximum park home sale commission', which we published in June this year, estimated that the average commission earned per sale in the last three years since 2018/20, was just over £11,000. Most park owners also received three or fewer commissions in the same period.

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, when the potential merits of the proposal to site the National Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre at Victoria Tower Gardens were compared with the potential merits of placing it with the Imperial War Museum; how the decision was taken; and if he will place the comparison in the Library.

The UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation considered almost 50 locations for the Holocaust Memorial, including the Imperial War Museum, none of which were deemed to meet the published criteria. The Foundation subsequently suggested Victoria Tower Gardens as a potential location and following investigations into the feasibility of this site, recommended it to Government in January 2016 as the best choice of site. The then Prime Minister accepted this recommendation and announced Victoria Tower Gardens as the chosen site on Holocaust Memorial Day 2016.

The London County Council (Improvements) Act 1900 was considered ahead of the planning application for the Holocaust Memorial, submitted in December 2018, and has been considered subsequently in the context of a statutory review of the decision to grant planning consent.
