To ensure the UK stays in the customs union with the EU

Parliament currently seems to be heading towards no deal Brexit or Mays deal. The indicative votes by parliament are showing support for a customs union or/and single market access. The latter allows unrestricted freedom of movement which would not help heal the divisions in this country.
