As the coronavirus outbreak continues, it’s vital that every member of the public receives clear and accessible information on how to protect themselves and stop the spread of the virus. It is therefore unacceptable that Prime Ministerial briefings from Downing Street are broadcast without British Sign Language interpretation, making the information inaccessible to deaf people.

Deaf charities are working hard to translate information as it is shared, but the Government must take the lead.
