To protect the livelihood and future of individuals who may have been wrongly accused and charged with an offence. Individuals should not be ‘singled out’ or ‘named and shamed’ for an offence they have not committed. A potentially innocent individuals information should always be protected in line with the Data Protection Act to prevent further discrimination and the risk of developing/progressing mental health issues.
