The Government should identify and reward all key and critical workers, by funding additional paid leave or paying them a bonus, and creating tax incentives for workers who fill these essential roles.

These key workers are working through the pandemic, many with no chance of annual leave for months to come, and are having to cope with altered hours and amended duties. Key workers are at increased risk of COVID19 infection by attending work. For some, it’s an occupational hazard, but for others the reality of being 'on the front line' is totally unexpected.
It seems right to ask the government to officially recognise these key workers, and set up incentives for them in the future.
