Require all military sexual offence claims be handled by civilian police

I want all claims of sexual offences to be handled by civilian police rather than military police. I believe the military police do not have the training and expertise to investigate these cases or support victims, and that all such cases should be handled by the civilian police.

Currently there is no requirement for claims of sexual offences in the military to be reported to the civilian police, and many claims are handled by the military police. We believe this is not appropriate, and all claims of sexual offences should be handled by the civilian police, who we believe are better able to support victims and investigate in an impartial manner.
