Pause pylon projects and bring in regulations to provide community support

We want the Government to pause all pylon projects until regulations have been brought in providing independent support for affected communities. The regulations should provide for an independent consultation on such projects with funding for a community advocate & assistance from technical experts.

We believe communities face life-changing impacts from pylons and overhead wires, often with as little as 56 days to review 1,000+ pages and no expert help provided, while any consultation is usually run by the same company delivering the project. At stage 2 of a project, routes can change or expand, adding infrastructure into villages or new areas. Residents shouldn't have to fight a major infrastructure project alone.
