Millions of people use dating apps to form relationships, yet users can often create accounts with little meaningful verification. We believe mandatory photo ID checks would improve accountability and reduce fake profiles. We also believe dating platforms should be required to take reasonable steps to prevent individuals convicted of serious sexual, domestic abuse, stalking and coercive control offences from accessing these services and potentially targeting new victims.
