The works were planned by Westminster City Council in conjunction with the Parliamentary Strategic Estates Department in order to carry out essential improvements to power and IT services for Members and staff across the estate and resurface roads. These are part of the annual works plan and as such were approved via the annual estimate by the House of Commons Commission. The contractor is liaising with parliamentary authorities to minimise disruption across the estate during the day and these arrangements will be kept under constant review.
