Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the information note Open Book Contract Management published by the Crown Commercial Service in May 2016, whether Open Book Contract Management is used for strategic suppliers that have triggered one of the high risk criteria in the Strategic Suppliers Risk Management Policy.

The Open Book Contract Management (OBCM) approach is applied to contracts rather than suppliers. The extent of the application of OBCM to each contract is dependent on the risk and complexity of that contract, as set out in the OBCM guidance published with PPN 05/16.
