Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what proportion of mandatory reconsiderations upheld the initial decision on (a) personal independence payments and (b) employment support allowance claims in the last 12 months for which figures are available.

The number of Personal Independent Payment (PIP) mandatory reconsiderations (MRs) cleared, by decision type, can be found in the official published statistics: “Data tables: Personal Independence Payment: Official Statistics to January 2017”. The relevant data can be found in Table 7b.
