Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what recent discussions she has had with the West Yorkshire Fire Authority on funding for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Home Office Ministers regularly engage with fire and rescue authorities on a number of issues. In 2018/19 West Yorkshire Fire Authority will have a core spending power of £79.1m, an increase of 0.8% (£0.6m) compared with 2017/18.
At March 2017, West Yorkshire Fire Authority held £33m in reserves, an increase of £24.4m (283%) compared with March 2011.
