Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many claimants have had their employment and support allowance stopped due to delays in processing medical certificates in (a) Bishop Auckland constituency and (b) Spennymoor in each year since 2010.
This question was answered on 17th October 2014
Claim would not be stopped for any delays in processing medical certificates. If there are delays in receipt of a medical certificate from the customer unfortunately, this can delay payment being made.
