Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment her Department has made of the potential impact of Civil Aviation Authority certification times on investment, innovation and growth in the aerospace sector.

The 2023 Independent Review of the CAA included significant stakeholder engagement and made recommendations to improve the CAA's service delivery. In response, the CAA launched its Customer Experience and Modernisation Programme to modernise key regulatory processes and improve customer experience.

This Government and the CAA will continue to ensure that the regulatory framework supports innovation and growth, while maintaining the UK's high safety standards.
