Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, with reference to the written statement of 30 June 2026 on Defence funding update, HCWS165, what progress she has made on identifying the £2.0 billion of savings in her Department needed in order to fund the Defence Investment Plan.

The savings are a small part of DESNZ's overall budget, which saw a significant uplift at Spending Review.
