Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what steps she has taken to ban the importation of child sex dolls.

Border Force works with law enforcement partners under Operation Shiraz to identify and disrupt the importation of child-like sexual abuse dolls and related items into the United Kingdom. Seizures made under the operation are recorded for operational and intelligence purposes.

The Home Office does not publish official statistics on seizures made under Operation Shiraz and does not hold a verified annual breakdown suitable for publication. Protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation remains a priority for this Government.

Border Force plays an important role in preventing prohibited and harmful items from entering the United Kingdom and works closely with domestic and international partners to detect, seize and investigate suspected criminal activity.
