Question to the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, what assessment he has made of the potential impact of regional trade missions focused on the creative industries on exports from businesses located (i) outside London and (ii) in the Buckingham and Bletchley constituency.

The Government recognises that trade missions can help creative businesses develop international commercial relationships, access new markets and identify export opportunities.

For businesses located outside London, they can help showcase the strengths of creative clusters across the UK and increase access to overseas customers and investors.

While the Government has not made a specific assessment of the impact of creative industries trade missions on exports from businesses in the Buckingham and Bletchley constituency, the constituency forms part of the wider Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor, where creative, digital and technology businesses can benefit from opportunities to build international partnerships and grow exports.
